About the role

This position provides highly satisfactory service and assistance to guests, including bagging groceries, providing carry‑out service to vehicles, retrieving carts, performing bottle tasks, and handling janitorial duties as needed. The associate helps ensure the shift contributes to the store’s financial best interests and completes all other assigned duties in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Use proper bagging supplies and techniques when handling guests’ purchases.
• Empty bottle bins, clean bottle machines, and maintain the bottle return area.
• Collect, return, clean, and organize shopping carts; load groceries into customers’ vehicles.
• Maintain familiarity with product locations throughout the store.
• Handle spoiled or damaged products according to established guidelines.
• Keep the department clean, attractive, and well‑stocked.
• Work independently and perform cleaning duties promptly.
• Follow all PPE, safety, food safety, cleaning, and guest experience guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience needs.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (GED) preferred.
• Good oral communication skills.
• Ability to interact politely and effectively with customers.

Physical Requirements

• Lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Stand and walk for extended periods; bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.
• Work in a typical retail store environment with varied temperatures and occasional exposure to outside weather.
• Noise level is usually low to moderate.
• Travel requirements vary by assignment.
