Essential Functions:

• Communicates and supports the Kirby Smith vision and core values of One Mission, One Team, One Plan, One Goal
• Sets up and maintains Service files, including but not limited to machine files and payroll documentation
• Processes technician time sheets and forwards to clerical staff for processing per guidelines
• Inputs data into open work orders such as fuel and lube, sublet, labor, and mileage
• Answers Service department telephone calls in a timely, professional manner
• Collections and relays information correctly, takes messages, and transfers calls appropriately
• Affords assistance in telephone coverage for the branch per schedule
• Ensures consistent and reliable on-site attendance
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• One-year office experience required; experience in heavy equipment or trucking industry preferred
• Exceptional Interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and various web-based applications
• Proficient 10-key skills
• Valid driver’s license

Safety Coordinator

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to sit for long periods
• Pushing/Pulling/Lifting/Carrying up to 25 pounds without assistance
• Physical ability to squat, twist, turn, bend, stoop, climb, and reach overhead
• Must be able to tolerate exposure to typical noises, hazardous materials, and fumes/odors associated with the shop
• Must be able to safely work around pressurized, mechanical, and electrical equipment
