About the role
The Service Center Supervisor position is part of the Clean Earth team, a division of Veolia in North America. Veolia is a leading environmental company recognized for excellence in water, waste, and energy management.
Responsibilities
- Supports employees through coaching and performance appraisals, making recommendations on personnel matters.
- Recruits and hires service center transportation employees and drivers.
- Conducts regular meetings and ensures safety protocols are communicated and enforced.
- Manages customer relationships and supports sales efforts.
- Ensures operational excellence through route management and employee supervision.
- Administers service center management processes and ensures compliance with regulations.
- Participates in maintenance of driver qualification files, DOT logs, and vehicle condition reports.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Education: BA or BS in environmental-related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: 3+ years in related transportation field, including DOT regulations and management software.
- Skills: Proficient in DOT regulations, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Active CDL preferred.
- Knowledge of hazardous waste industry and RCRA/DOT regulations.
- Experience with integrated fleet, driver, and compliance management software.
- Ability to work independently and lead others.
Skills
- Leadership and strategic thinking.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications and change management methodologies.
- Ability to analyze data and implement improvements.
