Brown Equipment Company is seeking an experienced Regional Operations Manager (Service Center Director) to provide leadership for our Indianapolis and Lexington Service Centers. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone with a proven track record of developing people, improving processes, driving financial performance, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction for the Parts and Service teams at both locations
  • Oversee daily operations while promoting safety, productivity, customer service, and profitability
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service center performance
  • Maintain operational results, budgets, P&L statements, and key performance indicators
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, control costs, and increase efficiency
  • Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, trust, and continuous improvement
  • Coach and develop employees while supporting strong team performance and engagement
  • Partner with Sales leadership, Division Managers, and Equipment Consultants to align service capabilities with customer needs
  • Address operational and service-related customer concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable safety and regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • Four or more years of experience in operations management, service center leadership, branch management, or a similar role
  • Experience leading multiple departments or locations
  • Strong financial and business acumen, including experience reviewing P&L statements, budgets, and operational reports
  • Proven ability to coach, develop, and lead employees
  • Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
  • The ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational leadership
  • A customer-focused mindset and commitment to operational excellence
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, operations management, or a related field is preferred
  • Experience within heavy equipment, construction equipment, commercial truck, agricultural equipment, industrial service, or another service-focused environment is also preferred

Qualifications

  • Must reside in the Indianapolis area
  • Must be available for a daily on-site presence
  • Must be able to travel regularly between Indianapolis and Lexington
  • A valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required
