Service Cashier with Automotive Experience

Responsibilities

• Receiving payment for service transactions
• Closing service repair orders once vehicle is picked up
• Reconciling credit card payments every evening, and preparing deposit
• Balancing cash drawer daily
• Knowing how to use CDK Drive to process service repair orders, look up repair orders, etc.
• Maintaining or creating customer satisfaction
• Greeting customers at the cashier window in a pleasant and professional manner
• Computing customer bills
• Receiving cash, checks, and credit card payments from customers; recording amount received
• Accepting deposits, completing payments for extending warranties, and handling other purchases
• Ringing up sales, bagging items, requesting price checks, honoring coupons, collecting payment, and giving appropriate change
• Updating the customer's service history
• Calculating materials charges, repair charges, and taxes
• Furnishing information about the dealership and its services and vehicles
• Communicating clearly and courteously, and accurately relaying information about prices, vehicles, and services
• Answering incoming calls to the service department

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a retail or automotive environment preferred.

Skills

Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong math skills, and proficiency with CDK Drive software.
