Service Carpenter – Siding & Exterior Repairs

Location: Lynnwood, WA. Employment Type: Full-Time.

About the role

McLeod Construction is an employee-owned general contractor serving the Puget Sound region. Our Service Department handles a variety of building repairs, and we’re looking for an experienced carpenter with strong siding and exterior repair skills to join the team. This is a hands-on field role. You’ll investigate building issues, complete skilled repairs, and work directly with customers. Responsibilities

• Repair and install siding, windows, and exterior doors.
• Complete waterproofing, flashing, sealant, and roofing repairs.
• Perform structural wood framing and other exterior building repairs.
• Investigate leaks and troubleshoot construction-related issues.
• Complete general service and maintenance work as assigned.
• Document your work with photos and reports.
• Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and team members.
• Work independently while meeting McLeod’s standards for quality, safety, and customer service.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of construction or service repair experience.
• Strong carpentry skills, particularly in siding, framing, windows, and exterior repairs.
• The ability to diagnose problems and make sound decisions in the field.
• Attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A commitment to jobsite safety and following company safety requirements.
• A basic set of professional tools needed to perform the work.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
• Climb ladders.
• Bend and kneel frequently.
• Safely use construction tools and equipment.
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience with decks and fences, interior trim, cabinets and countertops, flooring, drywall repair, painting, or concrete flatwork is a plus.
• Bilingual English and Spanish skills are also a plus.

Pay

$34–$38 per hour, depending on experience.
