Service Advisor - Wealth Management

About the role
This is an opportunity for an experienced CFP® professional to take on a meaningful client-facing role within an established and collaborative wealth management organization. As a Service Advisor, you will:
- Own meaningful client relationships and serve as a trusted day-to-day advisor to a portfolio of clients.
- Go beyond investment management by incorporating retirement, tax, estate, cash-flow, and broader financial planning into client conversations.
- Work alongside experienced advisors and specialists to address complex client needs.
- Build long-term relationships rather than focusing solely on transactions or product sales.
- Participate in client meetings and strategy development, with the opportunity to take ownership of the planning process.
- Identify opportunities to deepen existing relationships and introduce clients to additional resources within the organization.

Responsibilities
- Manage and retain ongoing client relationships through proactive communication and financial planning.
- Conduct comprehensive financial planning and analysis across retirement, investment, tax, estate, and related planning areas.
- Prepare for and lead client meetings, translating financial strategies into clear and actionable recommendations.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for client questions, requests, and ongoing service needs.
- Manage client portfolios, including asset allocation and rebalancing.
- Monitor client circumstances and identify opportunities to improve or expand the relationship.
- Help maintain the firm's high client retention standards.
- Ensure recommendations and client interactions meet applicable regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with financial advisors, paraplanners, and other internal professionals to deliver coordinated client solutions.
- Participate in business development and referral-generation activities.
- Stay current on investment markets, financial planning strategies, tax considerations, and regulatory developments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, or a related advisory environment.
- CFP® designation required.
- Strong understanding of comprehensive financial planning, investment products, and applicable compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial concepts in a clear, client-friendly manner.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team.
- Strong organization and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple client priorities.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, discretion, and commitment to client service.
- Experience with Schwab, Salesforce, MoneyGuidePro, Tamarac, or Holistiplan is a plus.
Pay
$120,000 - $150,000 per year
