Job Summary
We offer expert electrical and low voltage contracting services to Greater Boston’s commercial, institutional, life-sciences, hospitality, and retail markets. We leverage VDC, green building techniques, integrated project delivery, and lean construction methods that help improve efficiency and enhance client operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage service projects through pre-planning, cost tracking, billing, project documentation and project close out.
- Manage existing customer relationships and provide excellent customer service to help grow our division.
- Identify new opportunities for business and promote Gaston’s services.
- Schedule field service technicians for jobs and adjust schedules as needed.
- Project manpower for projects on a weekly basis.
- Prepare estimates for service projects.
- Work with Accounting department on billing.
- Participate in meeting annual service department revenue and profit margin goals.
- Operate as point of contact for assigned customers.
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years experience estimating and project managing commercial construction projects.
- Electrical field experience required.
- Licensed electrician is preferred.
- Experience in working with customers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated experience in staying organized and following up on tasks.
- Ability to work on tasks efficiently and prioritize work.
- Ability to identify and meet customers’ expectations and requirements.
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others.
- Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word.
- Knowledge of Spectrum Construction Software a plus.
- Knowledge of Conest Estimating Software a plus.
Physical Demands
- Sit for long periods in front of a computer.
- Travel to field locations as needed.
- Navigate around job site locations.
- Work outdoors, be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical and electrical parts; high, precarious places; dust, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions, extended exposure to sunlight; cold and heat; risk of electrical shock and vibration.
- Work in environments with moderate to loud noise levels.
