About the role
As a Server Systems Administrator within Epic's Hosting entity, you will ensure our systems are in optimal condition, supporting healthcare organizations through Epic's software. You will develop tools, troubleshoot, debug code, and monitor system health for large healthcare organizations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and share expert knowledge in systems and database administration
- Create disaster and contingency plans
- Coordinate with third-party hardware vendors
- Collaborate with developers, technical support, software testers, and implementation specialists
- Build valuable industry-wide skills in IT, focusing on one area such as scripting, documentation, development, or technical support
- Contribute to high-stakes, critical work that enhances healthcare providers' ability to deliver care
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Math, Physics, Engineering, MIS, or other hard science
- History of academic and professional success
- Knowledge of Linux or Windows system administration, virtualization, scripting, automation, or DevOps processes
- Willingness to travel 1-2 weeks per year
- Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
- Available to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift
