About the role
As a Server Systems Administrator within Epic's Hosting entity, you will ensure our systems are in optimal condition to support healthcare organizations using Epic's software. You will develop tools, troubleshoot, debug code, and monitor system health for large healthcare organizations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and share expert knowledge in systems and database administration
- Create disaster and contingency plans
- Coordinate with third-party hardware vendors
- Collaborate with developers, technical support, software testers, and implementation specialists
- Work on high-stakes, critical projects that improve healthcare delivery
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Math, Physics, Engineering, MIS, or other hard science
- History of academic and professional success
- Knowledge of Linux or Windows system administration, virtualization, scripting, automation, or DevOps processes
- Willingness to travel 1-2 weeks per year
- Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
- Available to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift
