The Omni Frisco Hotel at The Star is more than just the official hotel of the Dallas Cowboys—it’s the social hub for great food, fun, and nightlife. This 16-story hotel features 300 beautifully appointed guest rooms and suites, along with 24,000 square feet of versatile meeting space, including grand and junior ballrooms, intimate spaces, and an elevated pool deck. Located within a multi-use campus in partnership with the Dallas Cowboys, the city of Frisco, and Frisco Independent School District, the hotel is connected to The Ford Center, a 12,000-seat event venue, and anchored by the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters. Situated 20 minutes north of downtown Dallas and 25 minutes from DFW International and Love Field Airport, the hotel offers amenities such as Neighborhood Services restaurant, the Charlotte Jones Collection boutique, a chic coffee and wine bar, and The Edge pool bar and grill.

About the role

The server is responsible for delivering food orders to guest rooms and providing exceptional service, creating memorable experiences for all guests enjoying the food and beverage experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Omni standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the resort.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper attire/uniform and name tag when working.
  • Provide outstanding service to members and guests in a friendly and professional manner, following proper steps of service.
  • Maintain full familiarity with menus and knowledge of beverage offerings, including wine service.
  • Complete station set-up and breakdown/side-work.
  • Maintain tabletop items and fold napkins according to specified standards.
  • Polish and clean all water glassware in assigned station during each shift.
  • Ensure salt and pepper shakers and sugar caddies are full at all times.
  • Take food and beverage orders and upsell as often as possible.
  • Bus tables whenever needed due to circumstances, including dusting all tables and table legs.
  • Be pleasant, smile, and greet all members and guests, using surnames when obtained.
  • Send orders using the MICROS system.
  • Communicate with the culinary team regarding meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests.
  • Alert manager immediately if a member or guest has a suggestion, complaint, or issue.
  • Present accurate check to guest and process payment.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area.
  • Assist in the orientation and training of new associates.
  • Cross-train among other food and beverage outlets as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of the resort property.
  • Attend department meetings and other required company trainings.

Requirements

  • Must have unexpired Food Handlers and TABC certification—or obtain upon hire.
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, members, management, and co-workers, both in person and by telephone.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Prior serving and cash handling experience preferred.
  • Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • MICROS experience preferred.
