Server: Part Time
About the Role
Benchmark at Scotch Plains is expanding into New Jersey and is seeking a Server to join the dining team. As a founding team member, you will help shape the community’s culture, create meaningful connections, and set the standard for an exceptional resident experience from day one.
Responsibilities
- Takes food and beverage orders from residents and serves meals on a timely basis, ensuring they are presentable and appetizing.
- Sets up and delivers meal trays and food carts to the dining room as instructed.
- Handles requests from residents who require assistance with meal selection or have specific needs.
- Sets up the dining room for the next scheduled meal.
- Assists in inventorying supplies.
Requirements
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
- Knowledge of dietary procedures and Health Department regulations for food service operations.
- Ability to serve food and beverages for residents promptly and efficiently.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lb.
- Primarily a standing position; required to stand in one place for extended periods.
