About the role

Provide inspired food and beverage service to highlight the destination we represent. Serve as a hospitality ambassador that connects guests to the delectable cuisine inspired by our diverse culture and island home.

Responsibilities

  • Confirm station assignment
  • Complete daily opening checklist and duties assigned
  • Follow Fairmont Kea Lani sequence of service including: welcome guest, introduce venue with approved verbiage, set table with glassware, take beverage order, pour water/juice/coffee, take food order, punch in order to POS, pick up drinks and deliver, set table, pick up food, deliver food, maintain table adhering to sanitation guidelines, bus tables, present check, and reset the table ready for the next guest.
  • Bring passion towards the guest experience and actively look for ways to emotionally engage with our guests.
  • Participate in monthly departmental sales promotions.
  • Adhere to State of Hawaii & EHC food handling safety standards.
  • Organize time so all side work is completed according to shift demand.
  • Maintain atmosphere of aloha spirit by providing engaging, personalized, timely, and efficient service to our discerning guests.

Requirements

  • High School diploma (or equivalent) and/or vocational training
  • Minimum two (2) years serving experience in a high volume restaurant is required, preferably in a luxury hotel environment
  • Previous fine dining experience and wine knowledge is an asset
  • Previous experience in a 4 diamond hotel environment is an asset

Qualifications

  • TB Clearance
  • Maui County Liquor Card
  • Food Safety Certification or ServSafe Certification

Skills

  • Knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
  • Ability to engage guests emotionally
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Pay

$16.00 hourly

Schedule

Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel.
