About the role

Hillcrest Health & Living is looking for a friendly, dependable, and service-minded Server to join our dining team at Hillcrest Silver Ridge in Gretna, NE. Hillcrest Silver Ridge is a welcoming senior living community where residents receive personalized support while maintaining as much independence, choice, and connection as possible. As a Server, you will help create a positive dining experience by providing friendly service, supporting a pleasant dining room environment, and helping residents feel cared for during every meal.

What You'll Do

As a Server, you will support dining room service while helping ensure meals are served in a professional, timely, and welcoming manner.

• Greet residents and guests with warmth, professionalism, and respect
• Take meal orders and communicate orders clearly to the cook or chef
• Serve meals in a timely, friendly, and professional manner
• Assist the cook or chef with meal preparation support as needed
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and pleasant dining room environment
• Clear, sanitize, and reset tables efficiently
• Wash dishes, silverware, glasses, and other dining items as needed
• Vacuum dining areas, including spot cleaning as needed
• Wash, dry, fold, and store linens
• Sanitize and refill condiment containers
• Wrap silverware and assist with dining room setup
• Prepare the daily menu board for the following day
• Support culinary, health services, housekeeping, residents, families, and team members with kindness and professionalism

The right candidate will be friendly, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced dining environment while maintaining a positive and respectful approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous dining service, food service, restaurant, hospitality, or senior living experience preferred

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• A friendly, patient, and respectful approach with residents and families
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
• A team-first mindset and willingness to assist where needed
• Comfort using technology and resources efficiently and effectively

Physical & Other Requirements

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English
• Must be able to independently lift up to 35 pounds
• Must be able to perform repetitive sitting, bending, standing, walking, reaching, and movement as needed
• Must be flexible, calm, and professional in stressful situations
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
• Must be able to utilize technology, dining supplies, and resources efficiently and effectively
• Possible exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids
• Other duties as assigned
