Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional dining service by taking accurate food orders and serving meals to residents, family members, and guests.
• Uphold table etiquette and assist with resident meal and menu selections.
• Ensure a clean and sanitary dining area, including setting up and resetting tables, and maintaining dining supplies.
• Track resident meal attendance and communicate with team members regarding absent residents.
• Break down deliveries, put away stock, wash dishes, and assist with community marketing efforts.
• Report any safety or equipment issues to the Supervisor.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following established safety standards and policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned or directed by Lead, Supervisor, Director of Dining Services, or designee.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED), highly preferred.
• Exposure to restaurant operations or the ability to learn.
• Must be 18 years or older or have proper work permit and authorization documentation.
• Complete required Background clearances, health screening, and provide negative TB test results within 7 days of employment (must be within the last 6 months).
• Basic counting skills as required by the position.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak, write, understand, and read English.
• Able to operate standard serving equipment and possess the ability to deal tactfully and professionally with personnel, residents, family members, guests, vendors, and the public.
• Meet and maintain all state-specific regulatory requirements, such as Food Handler Certification.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods, walk, bend, kneel, squat, pull, reach overhead, and perform repetitive motions.
• Able to move intermittently throughout the workday and in the community.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and push up to 250 pounds, as necessary.
• Must comply with all state licensing regulations, HIPAA, Resident Rights, and other relevant laws and regulations.

Pay

Pay is determined by experience and performance, with a range based on the position and location.

Schedule

Variable shifts, typically 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
