Server for Southern Tide Restaurant at DoubleTree/Ellie Beach Resort (Seasonal)

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Sets and takes accurate food orders from guests.
• Maintains proper food distribution, ensuring meals are delivered correctly and food is prepared and presented attractively.
• Checks station setup and cleanliness before, during, and after shift.
• Absorbs all state, federal, and corporate liquor regulations regarding serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Familiarizes themselves with all menu items, their preparation, and service procedures.
• Totals checks, presents to guests, and accepts payment.
• Assists with bussing tables.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education And Experience

• Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year in hotel/restaurant serving role.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Team player.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Exceeds guest and team member expectations.
• Operates available equipment such as cash registers, calculators, etc.
• Basic mathematical skills for making change and giving refunds.
• Flexible working hours and shifts.

About the Role

Seats and takes accurate food orders from guests, monitors food distribution, ensures meals are delivered correctly, checks station setup and cleanliness, abides by all relevant liquor regulations, familiarizes with all menu items, totals checks, assists with bussing tables, and performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma, post-high school education preferred, one year of experience in hotel/restaurant serving roles, ability to communicate effectively, flexibility with working hours, and basic math skills.
