About the role

Il Fornaio Cucina Italiana is hiring knowledgeable, experienced, service-oriented dining room Servers/Food Runners. Experience in a full-service restaurant is needed. As a server and runner, you'll wow our guests with outstanding service and hospitality.

Responsibilities

  • Must be available for a minimum of 2 lunch shifts with 1 day being a weekday
  • Must be available all weekends and holidays
  • Excellent communication, hospitality, interpersonal and math skills
  • Skilled at reading the table and can anticipate your guests' needs
  • Team player; you're always willing to give and ask for help
  • At least six months of experience as a server in a full-service restaurant
  • Serving full menu and bar including wine and specialty cocktails
  • Communicating orders clearly with the bar staff and kitchen
  • Continuous table maintenance
  • Delivering drinks and food correctly and efficiently
  • Closing out checks and reconciling cash in a timely fashion
  • Maintaining a positive teamwork attitude
  • Communicating clearly, professionally, and respectfully
  • Monitoring guest satisfaction
  • Able to lift up to 35 lbs., and continuously bend, reach and twist; you're constantly on the move!
  • RBS Certified or within 60 days of date of hire
  • Food Handlers Card or within 30 days from date of hire

  • Positive teamwork attitude and guest satisfaction monitoring
  • Flexible work schedule including weekend availability
