Server / Culinary Assistant

Amira Choice of Roseville on Lexington Avenue is a well-designed senior living community offering 80 senior units with Independent/Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Care Suites. Located adjacent to both Minneapolis and St. Paul, MN, our community is near public transportation and features an exceptional team of caregivers dedicated to our mission.

About the role

We are seeking a Server/Culinary Assistant to support dining room meal service for our senior residents and maintain supplies in the kitchenettes for our Assisted Living Community.

Schedule

• 16 hours per two weeks, evening shift: 4pm–7pm
• Includes every other weekend and holiday rotation

Responsibilities

• Serves meals and ensures the dining area is clean and inviting:
  • Follows meal serving schedule and procedures
  • Offers resident meal choices and meets specific dietary needs
  • Uses proper safety and sanitation techniques
  • Follows dining room cleaning schedule and procedures
  • Follows proper procedures for dining room set-up
  • Follows proper workflow to stay on task
  • Learns and becomes proficient with EMenu System and restaurant-style service
  • Ensures all dishes (including flatware, drinkware, etc.) are washed, sanitized, and put away before end of shift
• Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and satisfaction:
  • Welcomes residents and initiates conversation
  • Accommodates resident requests such as food substitution or seating changes
  • Listens to complaints and responds appropriately; refers issues to Executive Director and Culinary Director as needed

Requirements

• Less than 1 year of experience (required)
• High School Diploma (preferred)
• 1 year of experience (preferred)

Pay

An individual's pay rate within the posted range may be determined by skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Our organization prioritizes pay equity and considers internal team equity when making offers. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical. If eligible, a sign-on bonus may be available based on the approved program at the time of offer.
