Job Overview
Northern Lakes Senior Living is located at 8186 Excelsior Road in Baxter, MN (Brainerd). We provide Assisted and Memory Care services across 68 units. Managed by Ebenezer, we pride ourselves on our skilled, compassionate, and good-natured team.
Responsibilities
- Serves meals and ensures the dining area is clean and inviting.
- Follows meal serving schedule and procedures.
- Offers resident meal choices and meets specific dietary needs.
- Uses proper safety and sanitation techniques.
- Fulfills dining room cleaning schedule and procedures.
- Follows proper work flow to stay on task.
- Learns and becomes proficient with EMenu System and restaurant style service.
- Ensures all dishes are washed, sanitized, and put away before end of shift.
- Promotes and encourages positive resident relations and satisfaction.
- Welcome residents and initiate conversation.
- Accommodate resident requests such as food substitutions, seating changes, etc.
- Respond appropriately to resident complaints and refer issues to Executive Director and Culinary Director as necessary.
Requirements
- Less than 1 year of experience.
- High School Diploma preferred.

Pay
An individual's pay rate within the posted range may be determined by various factors, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization prioritizes pay equity and considers internal team equity when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical.
Schedule
The Culinary Assistant schedule includes 48 hours every two weeks, with a day shift from 10:30am-7:00pm, and rotating weekends and holidays.
