Server - Banquet - On Call

About the role

A Banquet Server delivers and serves food and beverage items to banquet guests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner, supporting the Golden Nugget’s commitment to outstanding guest service.

Responsibilities

• Assist and prepare in set up of the banquet area prior to guest arrival to ensure room design is executed correctly.
• Maintain timeline of events to ensure seamless service.
• Anticipate guests' service needs, including asking questions to better understand their needs and acting on guest preferences.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
• Follow all state and local laws for serving alcohol responsibly.
• Maintain cleanliness and condition of stations, tables, and other tools, following all set-up guidelines.
• Maintain complete knowledge of daily scheduled group functions, including times, locations, number of guests, function space layout, room names, and banquet room settings.
• Understand basic room diagrams for station setups and seating charts for guests.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills.
• Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.
• Availability for various shifts, including early mornings, late nights, double shifts, occasional triple shifts, split shifts, weekends, holidays, and long hours.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
• 1 year of prior food service experience required, preferably in Banquets.
