About the role

Atkinson Resort and Country Club, located in Atkinson, NH, is seeking driven individuals for both Full-Time and Part-Time Server positions. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced hospitality-focused property within Troon, a global leader in golf and community management.

Responsibilities

• Serves guests food and beverage items in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner.
• Provides immediate attention to all guests upon seating.
• Describes daily specials and answers questions regarding menu items, offering suggestions when appropriate.
• Takes food and beverage orders and delivers food promptly after preparation.
• Follows up with guests to ensure satisfaction and replenishes items as needed.
• Participates in pre-shift meetings and taste tests.
• Maintains an organized workstation and completes side work duties.
• Handles checks and cash transactions accurately.
• Uses the Point of Sale (POS) system and follows established systems for taking, placing, and delivering orders.
• Adheres to standards for greeting, cocktail service, food delivery, and general service techniques.
• Practices tray service for all food and beverage service.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands

• Frequently stands and walks; uses hands; reaches with arms and hands; stoops, kneels, crawls, or crouches; talks or hears.
• Occasionally sits; climbs or balances.
• Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

• Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions.
• Noise level is moderate.

Certificates and Licenses

• Food Safety and Sanitation Training.
• Alcohol Awareness Training.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences

• Ability to read and speak English may be required to communicate with English-speaking customers or co-workers and to use equipment manuals.
• Meets state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
• Knowledge of POS systems.
