Job Summary

The server plays an essential part in Ted’s Café Escondido Restaurants’ operations. The server must constantly be aware of professionalism and attitude to create a comfortable atmosphere for guests. This role requires combining the highest level of service with a relaxed and friendly style, teamwork, and adherence to health and sanitation guidelines.

Responsibilities

• To ensure that Ted’s standard of service is given to every guest, every time
• Anticipate the guests' needs
• To have full knowledge of our menu and be able to effectively answer guest questions
• To have full knowledge of the Aloha system
• Be punctual and in full uniform for each shift
• Follow all guidelines, policies, and procedures of Ted’s Café Escondido Restaurants
• Follow the nueve steps of service at every table
• Ensure that all health and sanitation guidelines are followed at all times
• Adhere to the buddy system and take responsibility for your actions
• Ensure hot food is a priority
• Have a positive attitude at all times
• Declare all of your tips
• Perform all side work and setup/breakdown duties as assigned

• Be punctual for every shift

• Attend all mandatory meetings

• Maintain confidentiality with all company information
• Ensure that you are knowledgeable of your specific responsibilities in the event of an emergency

Work Conditions

• Subject to potentially upset guests and staff
• Involves guests and staff under all conditions and circumstances
• Varying working hours may include weekends, holidays, late evenings, and early mornings as needed
• Must be able to stand and/or walk 8+ hours daily
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs. frequently
• Frequent bending, reaching, grasping, and climbing
• Occasional squatting, kneeling, crawling, and fine manipulation

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience: Previous restaurant experience - 6 months minimum
• Specific Requirements: Must possess interpersonal relations skills, professional in attitude, demeanor, and dress, ability to multitask and work well under pressure
