About the role

As a Server, you will be responsible for providing friendly and efficient service to guests according to company policies, procedures, programs and performance standards. You will perform all duties to maximize guest satisfaction and maintain a quality work environment as directed by the General Manager or Manager on Duty.

Responsibilities

• Report to work well‑groomed, in a clean and proper uniform, and practice good personal hygiene.
• Greet all guests in a kind, courteous, and respectful manner.
• Handle cash, credit‑card information, gift cards, and payment of guest checks accurately.
• Take verbal drink and meal orders according to guest preferences.
• Serve high‑quality food, ensuring orders are complete, correctly portioned, and attractive.
• Monitor and oversee food temperatures during hot and cold handling to reduce food‑borne illness risk.
• Maintain cleanliness of work station and pantry.
• Perform side work during downtime (e.g., roll silverware, restock condiment holders, clean work areas).
• Execute the service cycle and team responsibilities at all times.
• Maintain sufficient menu knowledge to execute suggestive selling.
• Write guest checks and operate POS equipment in accordance with company policies.
• Anticipate, identify, and correct system breakdowns to achieve maximum guest satisfaction.
• Communicate with managers and co‑workers regarding product/service deficiencies, equipment, safety problems, etc.

Qualifications

• Basic skills in sanitation, safety, and customer service taught through in‑house training.
• Trustworthy and reliable in handling guest payments and operating the cash register.
• Clear communication abilities.

Physical Requirements

• High level of mobility and flexibility; must be able to stand, walk, reach, bend, push, and pull continuously.
• Lift and carry serving trays weighing up to 20 lb for distances up to 30 ft.
• Fit through openings 30 inches wide.
• Work irregular hours under heavy stress/pressure during peak times.
• Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, cold, and odors.
