Brasserie Boulud is seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Server Assistants to support our front-of-house team. This role is essential in ensuring smooth and efficient service by assisting Servers, maintaining the dining room, and delivering an elevated guest experience consistent with our standards of excellence.

About Brasserie Boulud

After two decades of success on the UWS with three restaurants across from Lincoln Center at 1900 Broadway, Daniel Boulud has combined the spaces into one spectacular dining destination, opening this fall. With over 10,000 square feet spanning two floors, the new restaurant offers a multi-faceted, modern take on a classic French brasserie. Designed by David Rockwell’s Rockwell Group, it features a light and airy main dining room with a large central bar, an intimate speakeasy, and elegant private dining rooms.

Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Brasserie Boulud serves everything from morning coffee and croissants (eat-in or take-out) to handcrafted late-night cocktails. Menus reflect Boulud’s signature seasonal French cuisine, showcasing the finest ingredients with a casual, everyday dining approach and a light twist on bistro favorites. Pre- and post-theatre crowds can enjoy express menus and seamless service, now with even more space and French charm.

Responsibilities

• Support Servers in all aspects of service to ensure a seamless guest experience
• Set, clear, and reset tables quickly and efficiently according to restaurant standards
• Deliver food, bread, water, and other items to guests in a timely and professional manner
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room, service stations, and side stations
• Refill water glasses and assist with beverage service as needed
• Assist with polishing glassware, flatware, and maintaining proper table settings
• Communicate effectively with Servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth service flow
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and courteously
• Uphold all company standards for service, hygiene, and appearance

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred, but not required
• Strong work ethic with a team-oriented mindset
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Excellent attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Positive attitude and commitment to providing exceptional hospitality
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Ability to bend, reach, and move quickly in a busy environment
