SERVER ASSISTANT

General Accountabilities

• Welcoming guests, escorting them to their tables, and providing them with menus
• Setting up the dining room
• Assisting in carrying trays
• Clearing extra settings
• Serving water, bread and butter, and coffee
• Clearing dirty dishes when appropriate
• Wrapping extra food and giving to guests as needed or requested by server
• Assisting other employees with set-up and cleaning of the kitchen
• Responding to guest requests and informing management of any questions, concerns, or complaints
• Ensuring that the server station is adequately stocked with necessary restaurant supplies

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• One year of customer service experience required
• Ability to multitask and problem solve
• Ability to stand, lift, bend, and stoop throughout duration of shift
• Ability to excel both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail
• Ability to work at a fast pace in often crowded/noisy environment
