Crescent Hotels & Resorts is honored to announce an exciting opportunity for a talented Restaurant Server Assistant for the grand opening of JW Marriott Reston Station Residences this Fall! Join the opening team of the first JW Marriott in Virginia and experience a new level of luxury at this stunning 28-story landmark.

The hotel features 247 rooms, the largest luxury meeting space in Northern Virginia (35,000 sq ft), two ballrooms with 20-foot ceilings, and JW Residences on the remaining 16 floors. Conveniently located along the Silver Line Metro between Dulles International and Reagan National airports, it offers exceptional access to the capital region.

About the Dining Venues

• The Simon – A refined dining destination offering modern American and Mid-Atlantic cuisine with seasonal ingredients, coastal inspirations, and chef-driven flavors in a sophisticated atmosphere.
• Schar Bar – A vibrant lounge serving bold cocktails, curated Amaro selections, and shareable plates, perfect for winding down or kicking things off.

Responsibilities

• Take and serve guest orders promptly and according to the service manual.
• Complete all necessary set-up and side work as assigned.
• Answer guest questions about the menu.
• Operate the electronic cash register/P.O.S. system (where applicable).
• Check food before serving to ensure correct appearance, temperature, and portions.
• Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Ability to meet appearance standards.
• Strong communication skills with guests.
• Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room continuously during the shift.
• Willingness to assist coworkers and work as a team player.

• Customer Satisfaction: Maintain professionalism and treat all guests and associates with courtesy and respect. Every associate is a guest relations ambassador.
• Work Habits: Adhere to hotel standards for procedures, dress, grooming, punctuality, and attendance. Be adaptable to change, willing to learn new skills, and solve routine problems.
• Safety & Security: Follow hotel security policies and procedures, including key controls, safe lifting practices, chemical handling, and reporting safety hazards.
