Seraiki Interpreter

About the role

LanguageLine Solutions is hiring bilingual Seraiki-English phone interpreters to work remotely from their homes. This is an independent contractor position and not eligible for employee benefits.

Responsibilities

• Handle interpreting sessions promptly and professionally.
• Render correct concepts and meanings according to established protocols.
• Speak clearly in both languages using proper pronunciation and enunciation.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and remain calm during interpreting sessions.
• Ensure punctuality and availability during work hours.
• Follow client instructions and comply with protocol to meet client expectations.
• Understand and adapt to various industries' terminology and procedures.
• Show commitment to cultural sensitivity and diversity.
• Handle emotionally and stressfully charged calls with professionalism.

Requirements

• Fluency in Seraiki and English with cultural understanding.
• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills.
• Ability to concentrate and remain neutral during interpreting sessions.
• Experience in language-related fields preferred.
• Adaptable to LLS technology enhancements.
• At least 18 years old.
• Licensed to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write the requested languages preferred.

Qualifications

• Work authorization that does not require visa sponsorship.
• Access to a quiet space free from background noise.
• Ability to operate a keyboard and mouse for long periods.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to type or write.
• Physical capability to lift up to 26 lbs.

Pay

The pay rate is $0.70 - $0.85 per minute.

This is a remote position where interpreters work from their home offices.
