About The Role

This role involves driving traffic growth, enhancing search engine rankings, and translating performance data into actionable insights. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, designers, and strategists to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into all aspects of website development and content creation.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably within an agency environment managing multiple clients
  • Proven track record of delivering measurable growth through SEO initiatives supported by first-party data (traffic, rankings, leads)
  • Strong proficiency with Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google Search Console, and SEO tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog
  • Experience managing SEO for diverse industries, including technical, on-page, and off-page strategies
  • Expertise in conducting keyword research, mapping SEO strategies to business goals, and implementing metadata, schema, redirects, and internal linking
  • Able to collaborate effectively with developers and designers to resolve technical issues and optimize website performance
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex SEO insights in clear, non-technical language

Responsibilities

  • Own and execute end-to-end SEO strategies for multiple clients, encompassing technical SEO, on-page optimization, and off-page efforts
  • Perform comprehensive SEO audits, competitive gap analyses, and keyword opportunity mapping to identify growth areas
  • Collaborate with designers and developers during website builds to ensure SEO best practices are integrated from the outset
  • Create structured content strategies and provide recommendations to support user experience and conversion goals
  • Manage local SEO efforts for clients with physical locations, including optimization of Google My Business profiles
  • Maintain and monitor site performance metrics such as rankings, crawl health, Core Web Vitals, and conversions using tools like GA4, Search Console, and Ahrefs
  • Prepare and deliver clear reports to clients, highlighting successes, identifying issues, and recommending next steps
  • Conduct technical SEO audits using tools like SEMrush and Screaming Frog, summarizing findings with prioritized action plans
  • Implement on-page SEO updates directly within CMS platforms, primarily WordPress, including meta tags, headers, alt text, and schema markup
  • Conduct keyword research to identify target keywords for core pages, blog content, and campaigns
  • Develop SEO briefs and outlines to guide content creation, ensuring keyword integration and topic coverage
  • Review and optimize draft content for SEO before publication to enhance readability and performance
  • Set up and configure SEO tools for new websites, including Google Search Console and GA4 tracking
  • Identify backlink opportunities through competitor analysis, brand mentions, and digital PR efforts, supporting outreach activities
  • Stay updated on Google algorithm changes and evaluate their impact on client sites, recommending necessary adjustments
  • Participate in client meetings to communicate SEO performance and strategies in an accessible manner
  • Collaborate with project teams to resolve technical blockers and content gaps, ensuring seamless website launches and updates
