About the role

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Program or Principal Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst (Level 2 or 3) to support the Sentinel Program at our Roy, UT facility within the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) Division of our Defense System Sector.

Sets up cost control systems, monitors and controls costs and schedules on contracts requiring validated cost schedule control systems. Performs analyses and prepares reports to ensure contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines. Prepares budgets and schedules for contract work and performs financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis. Prepares program plans to ensure program requirements and statement of work are captured and scheduled. Performs schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks. Ensures adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding. Incorporates contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract to maintain realistic contract cost and schedule baselines.

  • Performing miscellaneous financial analysis as required

Requirements

This requisition may be filled at either Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst (Level 2) or Principal Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst (Level 3).

Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst Level 2

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years OR a Master's degree with 0 years professional experience in Business, Finance, Accounting, Cost Accounting, and/or Aerospace & Defense Business-related fields
  • A high school diploma/equivalent with 6+ years of related experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
  • Experience with MS Office Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience with an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) tool, Business Intelligence & Analytics tool, Project Management & Planning tool, and/or Collaboration & Integration tools
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance

Principal Program Cost and Schedule Control Analyst Level 3

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years OR a Master's degree with 3 years professional experience in Business, Finance, Accounting, Cost Accounting, and/or Aerospace & Defense Business-related fields
  • A high school diploma/equivalent with 9+ years of related experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
  • Experience with MS Office Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Experience with an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) tool, Business Intelligence & Analytics tool, Project Management & Planning tool, and/or Collaboration & Integration tools
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Aerospace/Defense Industry experience
  • Active DoD Secret level security clearance (with the investigation in the past 6 years)
  • Experience with Excel (including Pivot tables, V-look Up, VBA, and/or Macros)
  • Experience working in Earned Value Management
  • 1 or more years' experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) Principals and applying Earned Value Techniques in an Aerospace & Defense environment; EVM Certification will be accepted in lieu of one year experience
  • Experience with EVMS Software (e.g., SAP, SAP BW, Deltek Cobra, Open Plan, MPM, Acumen One IWO, Primavera P6)
  • Experience managing and analyzing project costs using Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
  • Strong analytical abilities, effective management of competing priorities and deadlines, and excellent problem-solving and organizational skills

Pay

Primary Level Salary Range: $65,500.00 - $98,300.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $122,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Schedule

This position’s standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
