About the role

This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program in the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) division. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with the program managers, functional management, and cost account managers (CAMs) to provide financial and administrative support and analysis to meet program requirements.
  • Apply Earned Value and performance measurement baseline concepts to multiple contracts for control accounts within an engineering Integrated Product Team (IPT).
  • Establishment of Work Breakdown Structure for execution of budgeted cost of work scheduled, assessment and maintenance of objective performance criteria, maintenance and justifications of estimates to complete, and support to internal and external reporting requirements for variance analysis.
  • Budget baseline, funding analysis, cost risk analysis/assessment and visibility reports, preparation of government cost performance reports and preparation and/or review of performance measurement variance analysis as well as development and analysis of estimates to complete.
  • Support the development of budget baselines and maintain cost/schedule integration.
  • Prepare and/or assist in financial performance analyses and visibility.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Program Cost Analysis or a professional related field with ; 3 years with a master's degree; or 9 years of related experience may be accepted with a HS Diploma (or equivalent) in lieu of a degree.
  • Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience.
  • Requires experience with SAP, SAP Business Warehouse, Deltek Cobra, MS Project, and/or OneIWO.
  • Requires experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel (with Pivot tables and V-look up).
  • US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.

Qualifications

  • Basic Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Program Cost Analysis or a professional related field with ; 3 years with a master's degree; or 9 years of related experience may be accepted with a HS Diploma (or equivalent) in lieu of a degree.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Active Secret level security clearance or higher, Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business Administration, 3+ years of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience, Aerospace/Defense Industry experience, Strong analytical ability, excellent problem-solving and organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks and effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Skills

  • Ability to use financial systems, with understanding of EVMS principles and hands on cost performance reporting/analysis skills.
  • Develop and implement solutions of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Analyze variances/trends and develop new methods and process techniques.
  • Work under very general supervision while completing numerous assignments per schedule and elevating potential issues to ensure proper management focus.
  • Elicit and influence on peers and internal customers.
  • Good interpersonal skills while representing the group on special projects outside of own group.

Pay

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

Schedule

The standard work schedule for this position is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
