About the role
Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks a Launch Execution Systems Engineering Manager 3 for the Command Systems Hardware OU. This position supports the Sentinel program, focusing on ICBM Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities, and associated infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor the CS HW Launch Ex team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and quality assurance, to define product requirements and specifications.
- Develop and implement engineering processes and standards to enhance product quality and efficiency.
- Oversee the design, development, and testing phases of new products, ensuring alignment with market needs and strategic goals.
- Manage the product lifecycle from conception to launch, conducting risk assessments and ensuring timely delivery of milestones.
- Stay current with industry trends and technological advancements to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
- Manage MBSE products for development lifecycle; requires extensive MBSE knowledge base.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or Master’s degree in STEM with 6 years of related experience.
- A minimum of 8 years of related experience or a Master’s degree with 9 years of experience in STEM.
- An active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope (< 6 years), with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
- EVMS/CAM experience.
- Project management experience and experience with Agile methodology.
Qualifications

- Working knowledge and/or experience across engineering disciplines.
- Experience with distributed command and control systems engineering implementation.
- Minimum of 3 years in a formal management position, managing one or more engineering teams.
- Strong communication, cross-functional integration, and interpersonal skills, capable of working with various stakeholders.
- Experience on ICBMs.
- Experience creating or growing new sections or departments.
- Experience managing an engineering team.
- Familiarity with Agile engineering and Jira.

Pay
Primary Level Salary Range: $166,700.00 - $250,100.00
