About the role
The Sensor Solutions Prototype Engineer is responsible for coordinating field tests and piloting of sensor use cases, devices, and product opportunities, as a part of Applied Technology Solutions’ overall product development process. Working on a cross-functional team, the Sensor Solutions Prototype Engineer provides technical expertise, scoping and oversight performing early stage IoT solution validation. S/he also supports engineering research and testing efforts for production hardware and use case enhancements, including operational improvements.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating field tests and piloting of sensor use cases, devices, and product opportunities
- Providing technical expertise, scoping and oversight performing early stage IoT solution validation
- Supporting engineering research and testing efforts for production hardware and use case enhancements, including operational improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Masters preferred
- 7+ years experience in an engineering role
- 3+ years experience in an engineering testing field and methods of analyzing or automating tests
- 3+ years of engineering project management experience
- Prior experience working with connected technologies in a design, manufacturing, construction, maintenance or operations capacity is required
- Prior computer/software programming experience is preferred
- Professional Engineer’s License is preferred
