Senior Workforce Management Developer - UKG

Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, tests, and maintains integrations between UKG platforms and internal/external systems.
  • Buils and supports APIs, flat-file integrations, scheduled data flows, and custom connectors.
  • Ensures scalability, reliability, and accuracy of data transfers.
  • Works with HR, Payroll, IT, and business partners to gather requirements.
  • Translates functional needs into technical specifications, mapping documents, and workflows.
  • Documents all integration designs and data flow diagrams.
  • Collaborates with UKG support, third-party vendors, and internal teams.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves system or vendor-related data flow issues.
  • Ensures integrations follow UKG best practices.
  • Maintains daily operations and monitoring of integration performance, logs, and error queues.
  • Provides issue resolution, root-cause analysis, and long-term remediation.
  • Ensures compliance with data governance and audit requirements.
  • Identifies opportunities for automation, optimization, and modernization.
  • Recommends process improvements aligned with organizational strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree: Computer and Information Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in and support within a healthcare environment.
  • Dell Boomi certification is required.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical details clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong collaboration skills with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve integration failures and performance issues.
  • Ability to develop solutions for problems where existing precedents may not exist.
  • Ability to document technical solutions, mappings, workflows, and integration specifications.
  • Knowledge of integration technologies, including REST/SOAP APIs, web services, SQL, SFTP, middleware, and ETL tools.
  • Strong understanding of UKG data models, connectors, imports/exports, Dell Boomi, and UKG API frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, DevOps concepts, and modern SDLC practices.
  • Knowledge of information security principles related to data integration and secure data transfers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of risk mitigation practices related to system integrations.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading major ERP upgrades, implementations, or transformation initiatives.
  • Strong design-thinking, creative problem-solving, and strategic-roadmap development skills.
  • Highly effective collaborator with demonstrated success driving people, process, and technology change.
  • Subject matter expert in Workday, UKG, ServiceNow or other ERP technologies.
