Senior Workday Business Systems Analyst, Compensation

About the role

This role will own compensation, benefits, and rewards programs that help attract, retain, and motivate talent at scale. You will partner with people leaders, finance, and executive stakeholders to align rewards programs with business needs and employee experience. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen pay practices, improve program governance, and create more consistent outcomes across the organization within a Technical Services environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own the lifecycle of annual and off-cycle compensation cycles in Workday
  • Serve as the subject-matter expert for Workday Compensation features
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to implement compensation strategies
  • Lead the design, build, and deployment of compensation enhancements
  • Maintain test plans and ensure data integrity in compensation processes
  • Troubleshoot compensation system issues and act as an escalation point
  • Identify and implement improvements to compensation workflows

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on Workday HCM experience, with at least 3+ years focused on Workday Compensation
  • Proven experience leading end-to-end compensation cycles (merit, bonus, equity) in a fast-paced environment
  • In-depth knowledge of Workday Compensation concepts like salary plans and compensation review cycles
  • Strong understanding of compensation principles and HR data, fluent in both
  • Ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into scalable technical configurations
  • Excellent analytical skills, comfortable with Workday reporting and EIBs
  • Strong communication skills to present complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
