Responsibilities
- Perform advanced GMAW welding on structural and custom fabricated components
- Perform FCAW-G welding for heavy-duty and structural applications
- Perform multi-pass welding on structural assemblies and critical joints
- Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and production specifications
- Set up and adjust welding equipment and parameters properly
- Perform fitting, alignment, and fabrication support as required
- Maintain high-quality weld appearance and structural integrity
- Identify and correct welding or fabrication issues
- Assist with troubleshooting production and fabrication problems
- Support production efficiency and workflow improvements
- Assist in training and mentoring junior welders when needed
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain safe work practices and follow all company safety procedures
- Support team productivity and project completion goals
Qualifications
- 5+ years of welding and fabrication experience preferred
- Previous experience in manufacturing, structural welding, or custom fabrication environments required
- Strong blueprint reading and fabrication interpretation skills
- Proven ability to maintain quality and productivity standards
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent attendance and reliability
- Strong work ethic and leadership mentality
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Experience with structural steel or heavy fabrication projects
- FCAW-G structural welding experience
- Experience mentoring or training junior welders
- Forklift experience is a plus
- Welding certifications are a plus, but not required
