About the role
Serves as a key liaison between internal teams, custodians, and clients, helping to deliver seamless service and operational excellence.
- Accurately sets up and maintains client accounts, including processing updates such as contact information changes, beneficiary designations, and ownership modifications.
- Executes financial transactions, including security trades, cash movements, and client distributions, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
- Maintains meticulous records for compliance and audit readiness, performs account reconciliations, and investigates and resolves discrepancies.
- Adheres to regulatory requirements and internal policies, proactively flags potential compliance issues, and stays updated with evolving regulations through training.
- Serves as a point of contact for client inquiries via phone, email, and secure messaging platforms, resolving a variety of client issues.
- Evaluates operational workflows for process improvement, gathers insights from team feedback, client experiences, and performance data, and recommends and supports efficient solutions.
- Collaborates with wealth managers, account officers, compliance teams, and other stakeholders to support client service, prepares client reports, and ensures timely follow-ups.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in financial services operations (such as wealth management, banking, or brokerage), preferably with post-secondary education or equivalent experience in finance, business, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe, with the ability to manage data and documentation efficiently.
- Strong knowledge of trust administration, including transaction coding, fiduciary tax principles, principal and income accounting, and interpretation of trust documents.
- Demonstrated understanding of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory standards, with relevant training or certifications in trust, investment, or financial planning disciplines.
