About the role

We are seeking a proven leader and technically exceptional individual to join our Florida Water Business Group as a Senior Water / Wastewater Project Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for scoping, planning, managing, directing, and monitoring all aspects of medium to large drinking water and wastewater projects and contracts with high degrees of technical complexity.

Responsibilities

  • Serving as the trust client-facing project manager for a variety of technical delivery projects
  • Developing project design criteria, schematics and methods
  • Preparing preliminary design, basis of design reports, routing and alignment studies, and other engineering reports
  • Developing and writing engineering specifications and front-end documents
  • Overseeing the production of design drawings
  • Developing and executing QA/QC and risk management plans for each project
  • Working directly with the owner to ensure that the project exceeds the owner’s expectations
  • Leading and/or supporting client management and business development activities including pursuit planning, proposals, interviews, and client strategy

Requirements

  • Masters of Engineering in Civil, or Environmental, 12 years related experience in the water / wastewater industry
  • Existing and established relationships with clients in the Orlando area water / wastewater marketplace
  • Proven and significant process mechanical detailed design experience, including with technologies and equipment, to lead efforts associated with the group’s technical delivery program
  • Proven leadership and commitment to the technical development and mentorship of staff
  • Demonstrated leadership, business development and strategic planning skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, 10 years related experience
  • A minimum 5 years project management experience
  • Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven leadership and commitment to the technical development and mentorship of staff
  • Experience developing detailed scopes and fees for a wide variety of planning and design projects
  • Excellent communication, time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
