Senior Warehouse Manager

About the role

This position directs, coordinates, and manages operational activities of warehousing and logistics for multiple warehouses within an assigned region.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements policies and procedures governing the receipt, storage, and distribution of warehouse items.
• Supports the organization’s supply chain strategy through maintenance of appropriate inventory levels and timely distribution of goods.
• Ensures warehouse operations comply with regulations governing materials handling, storage, and distribution.
• Works with Human Resources in handling all associate issues including hiring, feedback, disciplinary actions, and termination as measured through associate satisfaction and retention.
• Maintains a safe environment for all department functions as measured by the safety record, accident-free days, lost time days, and total dollars spent.
• Coordinates all activities related to warehousing and serves as a source of expertise as measured by expense to sales and total cost per case.
• Prepares departmental budgets, which includes staffing, labor, and material handling equipment needs as measured by meeting budget requirements.
• Supports and initiates continuous process improvement as measured by total projects completed, project participation, and total dollars saved.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from an accredited college preferred.
• 6+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in reporting methods, tools, Word, Excel, Email, and Business Intelligence (BI).
• Must be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay

Base salary is expected to start around $115K with annual bonus potential.
