- Maintain the existing VCF 8 environment and participate in the planning, testing, migration, and operational transition to VCF 9.
- Perform routine platform health checks, troubleshooting, maintenance, configuration changes, and lifecycle management activities.
- Monitor platform availability, capacity, performance, and infrastructure health to ensure services meet established SLAs.
- Respond to production incidents and service requests involving VMware virtualization infrastructure, performing advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Participate in major incident management and collaborate with cross-functional teams to restore services.
- Document incidents, root causes, corrective actions, known errors, and operational procedures.
- Participate as a technical member of the team responsible for migrating the existing VCF 8 platform to VCF 9, including readiness assessments, compatibility reviews, upgrade planning, testing, implementation, and post-migration validation.
- Configure, maintain, and tune monitoring thresholds, alarms, dashboards, and reporting within Aria Operations, VRLI, and VRNI.
- Perform proactive monitoring to identify capacity, availability, latency, and performance issues before they impact production services.

- Develop and maintain automation using PowerCLI, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Terraform, and VMware APIs to streamline operational activities.
- Participate in change and release management activities, including VMware software upgrades, firmware updates, security patches, and infrastructure maintenance.
- Support disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution for workloads hosted on the virtualization platform, ensuring RPO ≤ 5 seconds and RTO ≤ 15 minutes for critical workloads.
- Participate in the 24×7 on-call support rotation for production virtualization services.
- Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to other members of the infrastructure support team.
- Collaborate with application owners, networking, storage, security, backup, cloud, and hardware teams to troubleshoot cross-platform issues.
