Senior Vice President, Tax Accounting & Strategy
About the role
The Senior Vice President for Global Tax will lead tax strategy, U.S. GAAP compliance, transfer pricing, and align tax goals with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Oversee U.S. GAAP tax accounting, reporting, and compliance, including uncertain tax positions and quarterly tax provision/disclosures
- Collaborate on global effective tax rate forecasting with Corporate Planning and international tax teams
- Build and maintain documentation for transfer pricing policies and assertions
- Assess and monitor global tax law changes and their impact on the company
- Ensure strong internal controls and lead tax audits to maintain compliance
- Drive tax strategy development and execution aligned with company goals and risk profile
- Implement technology and process improvements to enhance tax function efficiency
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing tax team while fostering collaboration with finance and business leaders
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in tax accounting and strategy with large, multi-national organizations, including at least 10 years in leadership roles supporting executive teams
- Expertise in ASC 740, including application to complex tax, accounting, and financial transactions, as well as understanding of ASC 740-related SEC disclosure requirements (e.g., ASU 2023-09)
- Proven ability to compute and analyze global tax provisions, assess reserves for uncertain tax positions, and forecast global tax impacts within complex multi-national structures
- Extensive experience with tax planning, optimization strategies under OECD Pillar II, intercompany agreements, transfer pricing, and M&A tax implications, including risk analysis and structuring recommendations
- Strong knowledge of global tax compliance, including corporate income tax, VAT/indirect tax, withholding taxes, and monitoring/implementing new legislative changes
- Demonstrated ability to enhance SOX controls, identify and mitigate financial/operational risks, and maximize U.S. federal and state tax filing positions while minimizing audit exposure
- Strategic thinker with excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, capable of engaging C-suite executives and translating complex tax concepts into actionable insights
- Proven leadership in building high-performing teams and fostering innovation through technology, with a foundational understanding of artificial intelligence concepts and a strong curiosity for learning how emerging tools like AI can be responsibly integrated to drive efficiency, improve processes, and manage risks
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA certification required
- Masters in Taxation or MBA degree preferred

Pay
The anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $198,300.00 - $287,550.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
