About the role

Our newest opportunity: The Regional Vice President of Client Services is responsible for the regional client service efforts and staff to strategically meet or exceed established retention and growth goals and objectives. The VP works both independently and with local and corporate leadership teams to develop the strategic direction of their business unit and its operations. The VP will also mentor and train staff in best practices of client relationship development and consulting techniques.

Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for work visa or residency sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with regional and national leadership teams to develop retention and growth plans and set annual goals for region and individual team members
  • Oversee retention and growth of region’s book under management (BUM)
  • Oversee and drive growth of BUMs through cross-sale opportunities and alternative products
  • Oversee workloads and workflows to ensure deliverables are met and/or exceeded
  • Analyze performance outcomes and recommend solutions for continual improvement
  • Leverage the company’s national and local resources to drive greater operational efficiencies
  • Identify and efficiently resolve employee relations and operational issues
  • Build and foster a positive workplace culture
  • Champion programs and initiatives undertaken by the company
  • Carry positive messages and create a compelling vision for the company’s future
  • Act as mentor to staff to assist in resolving client issues and development of solutions
  • Build strong and productive relationships with clients, partners and fellow leadership teams

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, combined with professionalism and discretion
  • Proven experience attracting, developing and retaining an “A” player workforce and creating a positive atmosphere conducive to productivity
  • In-depth knowledge of the insurance business
  • Ability to work collaboratively with leadership teams to meet and exceed goals
  • Proven ability to successfully lead, develop and grow high-level consulting teams
  • Ability to resolve conflict and bring about equitable solutions
  • Ability to work with clients and partners at a strategic level
  • Ability to prioritize business activities that contribute to top-line and bottom-line growth
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships and exhibit influence skills
  • Ability to travel within assigned region and to corporate office several times a year

Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience in strategic benefits consulting, required
  • 7+ years’ experience managing and developing staff, preferred; 5+ required
  • Current life and health insurance license, required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, other Microsoft suite products and database applications
  • Advanced knowledge of health, ancillary and alternative funding products

Pay

Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.
