About the role

This position requires a highly motivated person to assist in the day-to-day execution of an enterprise-level retail account. The Senior Vice President, Digital Investment will be responsible for activating social/digital strategic plan development and all aspects of implementation. This individual will learn and embody Zenith’s vision of Live ROI as a mantra and manage several direct reports. A paid social or digital media planning/buying background is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a 40+ person team; oversee 4 VPs who manage a large portfolio of multiple pillars and ensure social/digital planning and buying execution excellence
  • Demonstrate knowledge of search, audio, programmatic, and B2B
  • Provide leadership, motivation, and convey the vision and values of Zenith to media staff
  • Collaborate with all media channel team leads to develop and execute holistic omni-channel media solutions
  • Play a leading role in all aspects of campaign management, including vendor liaison and reporting
  • Provide thought leadership, consultation, and act as a voice for digital/social media
  • Establish and grow relationships with senior media clients, as well as be a key agency contact and internal agency partner
  • Work with VPs to identify, develop, and document social/paid social best practices and formal training to improve operational efficiencies
  • Partner with digital/social media publishers to identify client innovation opportunities
  • Stay apprised of new technologies and trends in the digital/social landscape to incorporate into media-driven solutions and business-building ideas
  • Provide training and support for Assistant Planners in billing, reporting, trafficking, analytics, and research
  • Assist in the presentation of data, insights, and media to clients
  • Maintain intimate knowledge of consumer habits and touchpoints (e.g., magazine, digital mobile, social, video)
  • Craft knowledgeable and relevant POVs that assess media opportunities and place appropriate value
  • Manage vendor billing: insertion orders, monthly billing reports, discrepancy resolution, and reconciliations
  • Assist the team in negotiation of buys, makegoods, positioning, and value-add negotiations
  • Draw actionable insights from syndicated data (Nielsen, Comscore, Strategy, TNS, adrelevance, Quantcast)
  • Create dynamic presentations that effectively communicate to clients
  • Maintain knowledge of all ad-serving platforms across platforms
  • Prepare and deliver buying and/or digital trafficking specs and guidelines
  • Manage workflow, efficient and profitable servicing of client(s), staffing levels, and foster a healthy team structure
  • Responsible for all revenue management and reporting to EVP

Requirements

  • B.A. or B.S. in Marketing, Advertising, or related field
  • 12+ years of digital media buying/planning experience
  • 8+ years of management experience
  • Experience planning digital campaigns for products in both the B2C and B2B space and ability to confidently present these to clients both on the phone and in-person
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills, interpersonal skills, detail-orientation, and follow-through skills
  • Strong analytical, research, and quantitative skills
  • Hard-working, resourceful, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills (formulas, v-lookup, conditional formats, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of the technology marketplace, including awareness of key publishers, products, and trends
  • Experience with Prisma and DCM preferred
  • Experience with research tools such as Nielsen and Comscore preferred

Pay

Compensation range: USD $180,215.00 - USD $240,000.00 annually. This role may also be eligible for bonus or incentive compensation. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position.
