Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes comprehensive communication and marketing strategies that align with WellSpan’s business objectives and drives measurable results.
  • Led the brand management efforts to ensure a strong, consistent brand identity across all marketing and communication materials and channels.
  • Safeguards the creation and distribution of compelling content for various platforms, including digital, print, social media and events.
  • Develops and executes strategic public relations strategies to build reputation, including media relations strategy, awards strategy press, community sponsorship strategy, and crisis communication.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive and effective communication strategies.
  • Develops data-driven approaches; monitors and analyzes market trends, competitor activities, and customer insights to inform decisions.
  • Understands the business, industry, and external environment, and advocates internally to ensure that organizational actions match intention and message.
  • Serves as a vocal and trusted counselor to executive team.
  • Provides leadership and mentorship to the marketing and communications team, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation and excellence in execution.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry influencers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in business, healthcare administration, communications, marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive executive leadership experience in a large, complex healthcare organization, with demonstrated success driving growth, brand differentiation, and market-leading performance.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing enterprise-wide marketing, brand, communications, and stakeholder engagement strategies that support organizational objectives and measurable business outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare industry trends, consumer behavior, market dynamics, reputation management, and emerging communications channels.
  • Exceptional executive communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior leaders, physicians, team members, community stakeholders, and media partners.
  • Demonstrated success leading, developing, and inspiring high-performing multidisciplinary teams while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, accountability, and inclusion.
  • Experience leading organizational change, managing complex issues, and serving as a trusted strategic advisor to executive leadership.
