Senior Veterinary Assistant

Department: General Practice Hospitals | Location: Rocky Creek Veterinary Hospital

About the role

Our hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to help provide outstanding patient care and client service in a fast-paced, multi-doctor animal hospital.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in the care of animals
• Restrain animals during initial examinations when necessary
• Stock examination and surgery rooms with supplies
• Sterilize tools and ensure equipment is in working order
• Communicate with clients (pet owners) and update patient files

• Prior experience highly preferred
• Regular on‑site presence required (in‑person attendance essential for patient care, time‑sensitive needs, team collaboration, and safety)
• Ability to lift 40 lbs
