Senior VDC Engineer - Self-Perform Work
About the role
The Senior Virtual Design & Construction, Project Engineer will support Precon, Construction, and Field Operations. They will also support regional and national VDC efforts, driving implementation of construction technology across DPR Business Units.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the creation of detailed concrete models for projects across the Southeast.
- Support Precon, Construction, and Field Operations.
- Support regional and national VDC efforts.
- Train project members and drive implementation of construction technology.
Requirements
- Flexible, detail-oriented individual with ability to multi-task and meet project-based deadlines.
- Intermediate to proficient knowledge of Tekla Structures and Trimble Connect.
- Basic to Intermediate level software knowledge of Autodesk packages (i.e.: Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, etc.) or other relevant platforms.
- Basic to Intermediate knowledge of field layout workflows.
- Ability to quickly learn new software tools and train others.
- Ability to work in a flat-organization environment that requires full transparency, team collaboration, leading by influencing, and socialization of initiatives.
- Effective communication skills (oral and written).
- Experience configuring project sites to host BIM data (if applicable) or other equitable platforms.
- Experience executing and managing VDC operations and processes on a single project.
Qualifications
- Engineering or construction related field experience.
- Concrete industry and processes experience.
- RFI’s and submittal process experience.
- Experience with Tekla Structures.
- Associates degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience in the AECO industry.
- 2-4 years in the field of design, engineering, or construction.
- 2-4 years’ experience working in Precon, Operations, or VDC-related roles.
Skills
