About the role
The Senior VDC Engineer will support cutting-edge projects like the upcoming Alaska build, leveraging VDC and BIM tools to coordinate models, review and develop shop drawings, and bring designs from concept to reality. They will do hands-on production work, collaborate with diverse project partners, and help shape how Bildt continuously improves its processes.
Responsibilities
- Leverage VDC and BIM tools to coordinate models, review and develop shop drawings, and bring designs from concept to reality.

Requirements
- Four-year degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years experience in the AECO industry with hands-on project delivery exposure.
- Working knowledge of design and construction processes and how information moves from design through fabrication and installation.
- Strong experience using BIM and modeling tools, including Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Demonstrate 3D modeling capabilities to support coordination, detailing, and visualization workflows.
- Understanding of constructability and interest in prefabrication, modular construction, and installation methods.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, including designers, trade partners, production teams, and field personnel.
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to communicate clearly, collaborate effectively, and follow through.
Qualifications
- Exposure to or experience supporting DfMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) workflows.
- Experience across multiple environments (design, construction, manufacturing, or modular settings).
- Comfort learning and applying new tools, workflows, and technologies as processes evolve.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate ambiguity in fast-moving project environments.
- Curiosity about continuous improvement and how digital tools can enhance production and coordination.
Skills

Pay
The anticipated salary range for this position is $70,590 - $90,416 annually. This information reflects the anticipated base salary for this position based on current market data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual’s skills, experiences, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
