Senior VDC Engineer

Responsibilities

• Aid and support training in various software packages (i.e.: Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, etc.)
• Administer and support VDC coordination kick-off meeting and subsequent meetings
• Configure of project site to host BIM data (if applicable) or other equitable platforms
• Perform VDC work and support project personnel in VDC processes, including assistance with related technical support issues
• Assist VDC Manager in developing project-specific VDC strategies, scope and plan in addition to standard processes
• Support implementation of project specific VDC strategy and VDC initiatives
• Project specific leadership and mentoring for VDC and related technology fields
• Manage on-site construction team efforts in the implementation of VDC applications and processes in addition to VDC deliverables
• Aid in the creation of project specific contract language in coordination with VDC Manager for trade buyout

Requirements

• Flexible, detail-oriented individual with ability to multi-task, produce quality deliverables, and meet project-based deadlines
• Experience in creating and executing strategic plans
• Ability to allocate resources and manage personnel
• Knowledge of hardware and technology platform adoption and integration
• Experience in training and educating programs and processes
• Intermediate level software knowledge in Autodesk packages (i.e.: Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, etc.) and other platforms
• Strong knowledge of design and construction authoring/management programs

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience in the building industry
• 3-5+ years’ experience working in Precon, Operations, or VDC-related role
• 3-5 years in the field of design, engineering, or construction
• Intermediate level software knowledge in Autodesk packages (i.e.: Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, etc.) and other platforms
