Overview

Sentara Vascular Specialists is now hiring a Full-Time Senior Vascular Lab Technologist (Medical Sonographer) in Hampton, VA!

Hours

Full-Time, Day Shift, Mon-Fri

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced vascular ultrasound procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular conditions.
• Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment and conduct non-invasive vascular tests.
• Interpret preliminary results to support physicians in patient care.
• Maintain high-quality imaging and adhere to safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Mentor technologists and students.

Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA)
• RQI (Required): Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) Cert OR Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) required
• Experience: Related experience – 1 year (Required)

Qualifications

• Certified Vascular Specialist (RVS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)

Skills

• Expertise in operating diagnostic ultrasound equipment
• Non-invasive vascular testing skills
• Interpreting preliminary results
• Mentoring and teaching skills
• Protocol and standard development
