Senior United States Operations Consulting Manager
The Strategy & Executive Office (SEO) organization sets the short, mid, and long-term strategy for Novo Nordisk, Inc. and ensures flawless execution of key priorities. This includes long-term strategic planning, empowering leaders, driving high-impact enterprise projects, and supporting the President to align the entire organization.
About the role
The Senior Manager, US Operations Consulting will be an integral member of the consulting team, delivering high-impact enterprise projects in areas such as business transformation, commercial operations, commercial strategy, market access, growth strategy, operating model optimization, technology implementation, and enterprise transformation. Projects span the full value chain in support of top business priorities.
Responsibilities
- Leads and successfully delivers consulting projects with a wide range of stakeholders
- Assumes project management responsibility, including proactive issue escalation and resolution
- Prepares project plans and scopes with clear objectives, timelines, milestones, stakeholder identification, and responsibilities
- Ensures the quality of team outputs, including accuracy, clarity, and messaging
- Drives problem-solving discussions with strong issue identification, structuring, and prioritization
- Prepares storylines for documents and excels at structured communication
- Serves as a trusted advisor to functional leaders
- Demonstrates understanding across the value chain and of consulting approaches/frameworks
- Attracts external management consulting talents through active participation in recruitment
- Coaches and mentors junior team members both in and outside of project settings
- Leads team capability-building initiatives outside of project delivery
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in commercial, economic, scientific, engineering, or a related field (required)
- 6+ years of professional relevant experience
- Master’s and/or advanced degree (preferably MBA) can substitute for up to 2 years of required work experience
- 2-4 years of proven project and/or consulting experience
- Prior experience in tier 1 consultancies (beneficial but not required)
- Prior experience with biopharma companies (beneficial)
- Experience with consulting and financial frameworks and approaches
- Comfort working with top executives and strong executive presence
- Structured top-down written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and visualization skills
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in PC tools (PowerPoint and Excel)
- Strong English language skills (written and oral)
- Flexibility to work under tight deadlines and ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
0-10% overnight travel required.
Pay
The base compensation range for this position is $120,000 to $222,000. Base compensation is determined based on several factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance, as well as long-term incentive compensation and/or company vehicles depending on the position’s level.
