Senior Unit Controller- Duke University Hospital

About the role

Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking a Senior Unit Controller to join their team at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. The Senior Unit Controller will be responsible for the preparation of financial and operating reports, conducting and documenting financial analysis projects, and collaborating closely with operators to drive performance toward operational targets while maintaining strong internal controls over inventories, cash, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Highly collaborative with leadership to communicate key levers to improve margins
• Financial planning and analysis: create annual forecast/budget by venue, and generate weekly/monthly/annual financial reports
• Accountable for Cash Flow, Cash and Banking, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and Capital Expenditures
• Weekly/Monthly reporting, including analyzing and communicating results to the corporation and operators
• Audits/Contract Compliance, including Cash, Accounts Payable, SOX, and coordination with internal corporate auditors
• Maintain all financial records and reports in adherence to Aramark’s Business Conduct Policy and all local, state, and federal regulations
• Train and develop finance and operations teams on financial acumen and policies
• Client Communication (as applicable), including systems, reporting, and program changes
• Assist in operational support as needed with direction from Leadership/Regional Finance Director
• Develop proformas for new business and revenue growth opportunities
• Perform regional and account-related duties as directed by the Director of FP&A
• Additional duties may be assigned from time to time due to the nature of the business

Requirements

• Minimum five years of progressive financial experience required, including AP/AR, payroll, and P&L management
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting required
• Ability to work closely with a team in budgeting, cost controls, and monthly reporting is critical
• Adherence to generally accepted accounting practices and observation of all financial controls and processes is required
